On Saturday, April 25th, I’m teaming up with some of the most exciting creatives in New York to stage Pleasure-Seeking’s next event: an all-night takeover an iconic Manhattan venue that was once home to Sleep No More, and before that, legendary nightclubs like Twilo and The Sound Factory.
Taking place across multiple floors, Enemies to Lovers is a night of burlesque, brawls, and risqué readings. It’s nine hours of nonstop entertainment—a full night’s sleep, I’m told, though I haven’t had one since I started planning this event!
My friends at Queer Punk Outlaws throw the best underground events in Brooklyn, and we’re teaming up to put on a show you won’t soon forget. You will laugh, you will cry, you will tell your friends about it for months to come.

Readings & Burlesque
We’ll start off at 6:30 with cocktails in The Red Room, a dimly-lit lounge where you’ll be treated to titillating burlesque acts and steamy readings from writers like Magdalene J. Taylor, Mackenzie Thomas, Noelle Perdue, Whitney Mallett, and anika jade. I’m keeping the full lineup secret for now, but expect writing on romantic rivalry, sexual tension, and spectacular public feuds—including a special dispatch from Caroline Calloway.
Brawls & Bands
From 8:30 onward, things get physical. Downstairs in the ring, enemies (and lovers) will go toe-to-toe in a series of over-the-top performances that will leave you ready to kiss, fight, or both.
During the show, you’ll be free to explore, breaking away from the action to talk, flirt, and drink. Meet new friends, lovers, or maybe your next nemesis.
Midnight Show + VIP Afterparty
We’re saving our sexiest and most scandalous acts for last. After 11, we’ll come together in the Red Room for a late show with even more intimate, boundary-pushing performances—from Shibari to sword-swallowing and sideshow spectacles. There will be rope play (inside and outside the ring.) There will be nudity. There will be things that I can personally guarantee many of you have never seen, and actually may never un-see.
This is a special offering for those who want the chance to mingle with some of New York’s coolest (and hottest) writers, creatives, and performers til 4 AM. VIP tickets get you access to the full night’s programming and the afterparty—plus a mezzanine view and other special perks.
