Hi everyone! I’m back from the holiday break with a new episode of the Pleasure-Seeking podcast.
In this exclusive interview, the pioneering feminist porn director Erika Lust—often called “the queen of ethical porn”—joins me to unpack how porn shapes our desires, and desire shapes culture.
A feminist trailblazer, Lust has redefined adult filmmaking with authentic, female-centered stories that challenge industry norms. Her work has earned her numerous TEDx talk stages and a profile in The New York Times, which described her as an “art-house pornography behemoth” shaping the future of pornography.
This episode was taped in person at Erika’s Barcelona HQ after I received the grand tour, but before I experienced her new immersive art exhibition House of Lust, which is currently on view in Barcelona (more on that soon.) The audio version is available above to free subscribers, or on Apple Podcasts.
The video version—full-length, unfiltered, and filmed in bed together at Erika’s office—is available below for paid subs. Why does she have a bed in her office, you might ask? Because 30-minute masturbation breaks are part of the company policy. And to think, my last job didn’t even give me healthcare…
Anyway, you can check out Lust’s work here. If you’d like more of the Pleasure-Seeking podcast, consider upgrading your subscription; you’ll get access to the exclusive posts along with the more personal audio content I’m cooking up, and video interviews like the one below the paywall.
Xoxo,
Camille
